After five months of the announcement of its calls, the TICAL2017 Conference, which will take place between July 3 and 5, at the InterContinental Hotel, in San Jose, Costa Rica, closed its call for Authors and Young ICT innovating to improve their university at the end of April 17. The registration system, which gives access to TICAL2017, ION Costa Rica and the Latin American Meeting of e-Science 2017, is already opened and offers reduced prices until May 31. More than 150 papers were received by the Program Committee of the event and will now be evaluated for subsequent notification of the selected on 26 May.
Registration for the public is already opened at http://tical2017.redclara.net/index.php/en/2014-11-07-17-49-57 and there are promotional rates for those who register until May 31. The registration will give attendees the opportunity to join three events: the TICAL2017 Conference, the Latin American e-Science Meeting 2017 (BELLA-T) and the ION Conference (ISOC).
ION (http://www.internetsociety.org/deploy360/ion/costarica2017/) is an initiative of Internet Society and will be held during the first day of TICAL (July 3); The event will bring together network engineers and leading industry experts to talk about emerging technologies and hot topics of technology. Early adopters provide valuable information about their own deployment experiences and bring participants closer to the new standards emerging from the IETF.
The Latin American e-Science Meeting 2017, organized by the BELLA-T project (also between 3 and 5 July), offers a new space for the exchange of knowledge and good practices in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) around the areas of Biodiversity, e-Health, Environment, Astronomy, Network Art and Culture, and High Energy Physics, considered as priority. The Organizing Committee advices to take the early bird registration and to make the hotel reservations at the TICAL2017 recommended hotels (in its website) to get special rates for the conferences attendees, but the deadline for accessing them closes on June 1.
