O'Flaherty was a professor, operations director of the Argentine academic network, manager of regional Internet planning at Impsat and responsible for the Internet product at Global Crossing LAC. In 2009 he joins Internet Society for the regional development of the Internet for Latin America and the Caribbean

ISOC - LACNIC Workshop: IPv6 for IT Directors

Guillermo Cicileo is currently the Head of the Internet Security and Stability Program of LACNIC. He is a member of the LACNOG board and coordinates the Training Task Force. He is part of the evaluation committee of FLIP6 - Latin American IPv6 Forum, from 2007 to the present. Until 2015 he served as General Coordinator of the RIU, a network of national universities in Argentina. He has actively participated in the creation of RedCLARA (Latin American Cooperation in Advanced Networks), being a member of the initial Technical Commission of the project and of the working groups.

Presentation: LAN network security: experiences and use cases

The engineer Jorge Alberto Villa is the Leader of the Verticals of Government, Education and Health for Latin America at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.

He worked in the Technology Department of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia for more than 10 years, in charge of the design, implementation and maintenance of the University's voice and data networks. In Italy he worked in the Research and Development area of Avanex Corp., with Mach-Zhender optical modulators. He was professor in the Master in Electronics of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

Villa is an Electronic Engineer with Master in Optical Communications by the Politecnico di Torino, Italy.



Juan Carlos Cabrera Lelo de Larrea

Director of Channels for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean by Ruckus Networks, Juan Carlos Cabrera is an electronics and communications engineer graduated at the Universidad Iberoamericana Cd. De México. He has over 20 years in the Telecommunications market where the last 11 years have been specializing in WiFi technologies, previously working as Country Manager for Xirrus, Aruba Networks and Ruckus Wireless in Latin America.

Larrea is also an international speaker on issues of information infrastructures in various forums within Mexico, Colombia and Brazil, to name a few. Expert in infrastructures of business networks and external plant at copper, fiber and wireless level.

Mauricio Andrés Rey Torres

Presentation: Digital Transformation in Institutions of Higher Education

Information Systems Engineer with more than twenty (20) years of experience in the area of technology, most of them with responsibilities as Project Manager and Technology Director; specifically leading processes of strategic transformation of organizations and IT areas, and participating in implementation projects of ERP systems such as SAP, ORACLE and DYNAMICS AX.

Torres has participated in the selection and implementation of information systems in companies of energy, entertainment, services, construction, agricultural, commercialization and Institutions of Higher Education. He is certified as PMP (Project Manager), TOGAF 9 Certified (Enterprise Architecture), ITIL V3 Foundation 2011, CRISC (Certificate in Risks and Controls of Information Systems), IT Government COBIT 5.0 and Facilitator of Lego Serious Play Methodology.

Experience in Cloud technologies, Go-to-market Strategy, Innovation and IT Strategy. Businessman and strong education professional with an Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.



Alejandro Girardotti

Girardotti is the Level 3 latinamerican Director of Product Management of Connectivity, Media and IP.

He is in charge of the management, development and launch of new products in the region, being responsible for the positioning and generation of a portfolio of services including IP, VPN, Network Management, Content Distribution and Video.

He is also an Electronic Engineer by the University of Buenos Aires - where he is also a postgraduate professor - and an MBA by Torcuato Di Tella University.

Previously, Girardotti worked in consulting firms in Argentina and the United States, and in various areas of Level 3.



Gustavo Fridman

Gustavo Fridman is the Microsoft Higher Education Solutions Manager for Latin America & the Caribbean. He belongs to an organization dedicated to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.

With an academic background in both information technologies and businesses, he has more than 25 years of professional experience in technology, finance and consulting companies where he participated in projects and engagements in education, software development, strategic IT management consulting and information technology based ventures.

He is very passionate about education and taught at the Engineering School of the University of Buenos Aires during 19 years.

Valerie has more than 15 years of experience in information, processes and documents management in organizations around the world. She has worked beside many organizations in its digital transformation processes, mainly in the areas of strategy and change management. In her current role, Valerie is responsible for aligning solutions and strategies of OnBase, a leading information management solution, to meet the needs of higher education institutions in Latin America and other regions.

Valerie has worked in the global expansion of Hyland, developer of OnBase, since 2001. During her extensive career in Hyland, she has been responsible for leading the creation and dissemination of solutions in new markets as well as leading an international marketing team in support of Global reputation and demand generation programs.

Valerie is an EAFIT production engineer (Medellin, Colombia) and earned her MBA from Cleveland State University. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, and also Portuguese and German.

Account Manager at PADTEC S/A and commercial manager for CALA NORTE.

Six years of experience in the telecommunications market in areas of engineering and network planning in important companies of the sector such as PADTEC and Huawei.

PADTEC has been able to develop networks for more than 20,000 km in territories of Central America, Colombia, Chile and Argentina. These include CLARA's extensive networks, such as "Buenos Aires-Santiago" and "Panama-Tapachula".

Granizo also has extensive experience in the Telco and IT Sector, in B2B, companies and SMEs in the international field (Latam, Europe and USA), and in the area of entrepreneurship through the startup Mobile Marketing (Flash2Flash).
