The meeting aims to discuss issues related to identity management and the current situation in Latin America compared to the global reality. The workshop is framed within the training activities of the MAGIC project.
The TICAL2016 Conference, to be held between September 13 and 15 at the event center Golden Center, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, will host important activities related to the world of ICT in Latin America. Among them is the workshop on Identity Management and Federation Services, which will be taught by the Deputy Director of RNP’s Superior School of Networks, Leandro Guimarães, on the afternoon of September 14th.
Identity management is the process of automating and audit your organization's users access concessions in the same repository, through flows integrated into a centralized platform, with automated procedures and mapped user access profiles. The academy is adopting homogeneous standards for the collaboration between academic networks and client institutions to occur transparently to end users, enhancing the integration of researchers.
In this workshop will be discussed, at management level, the benefits and challenges of implementing identity management, addressing also an analysis of the current situation in Latin America comparing it to the world scenario.
Goals
Discuss actions to increase the adoption of identity management in partners institutions in Latin America, in line with the governance model adopted in Europe and the United States.
